The Castlemaine Football Netball Club has a vast and very rich history dating all the way back to 1859. More than 150 years on the CFNC continues to be the heart of Castlemaine and surrounding districts.

Our home at the Camp Reserve in Castlemaine was the major settlement in the gold rush era for the town, and where it aptly receives its name. Today, the Camp Reserve is the town’s biggest recreation reserve, where it not only sees during the winter months more than 300 CFNC football and netball players each weekend hit the fields and courts, but also cricket, the Castlemaine Show and the annual swap meet to name a few things.

The Castlemaine Football Netball Club now has 19 teams in total, which includes 8 teams competing in the Bendigo Football Netball League, 10 teams in the Bendigo Junior Football League as well as one Masters team in the Victorian Country AFL Masters League.
